Default What's more impressive?

swirlies or fondant?

Am making cupcakes for a wedding. What's more impressive, swirled frosting or poured fondant? Theere will be some kind of topper of course. i'm thinking of sugar cookies with MMF for the swirls and some delicate MMF roses for the fondant, maybe lace embossed too.

I just want these cupcakes to really look different and to awe people. any help or suggestion is appreciated! thanks!

I love the look of poured fondant. It's so clean and neat! But, I think it depends on the style of the wedding.
Good luck!

you could do swirlz on the cookies, and poured fondant on the cupcakes with a delicate white chocolate topper or initials, would look so pretty or even dragees and a berry in a coordinating color/flavor maybe even.

Just depends on the look you are trying to achieve... I like both.. You should do a trial run on both designs to see which one you prefer.
