So I thought it would be fun to see what YOUR actual wedding cake looked like!!! Post your picture!!!!

I am not getting married until next year so I am posting a picture of what I think I want my cake to look like!!!

People keep asking me if I am gonna make my OWN wedding cake! My answer is ALWASY NO! I don't want the added stress!

i MIGHT be getting married next year and we don't have elaborate plans, maybe we're gonna go to Vegas and get married there! so am not sure if we should have a cake LOL

Yes, my colors are red, black and silver. My Fiance actually picked the cake out. (I gace him about 5 to choose from) but at least he got to pick something...Right???

I didn't get a wedding cake...our baker/decorator backed out 2 weeks before wedding...

Oh my goodness! My wedding was 34 years ago and I'm afraid that picture is stored away somewhere in a box that hasn't been opened in who knows how long!

Wow..just realized that my anniversary is tomorrow!

I do remember it though..3 tiers, all buttercream of course (fondant?? never had even heard of such thing!), white frosting (was there a choice back then?) with swags made of dozens of pale mini pink roses that caused quite a stir because the cake wasn't all white!.

I remember the decorator kept saying...are you really sure you want to do PINK on your cake? You know wedding cakes are supposed to be white! My mother was aghast!

I don't even know if we took a picture of our cake! It was two tiers (plus sheet cakes) and It was white with white detailing. I had purple royal icing flowers as a topper, but I don't remember it being anything elaborate or fancy. We just went in and said we're broke, what can you do for $X. I think we had 3 to choose from. Obviously, this happened before my cake obsession!

Mine was almost 12 years ago - was buttercream, three tiers, white with light pink flowers and light green leaves - and the topper was two doves resting on light pink & green leaves - I'll see if I can fnd a pic!

I've never married, but I think I would have a lot harder time now deciding what design I would want - there's so many styles to choose from! I sometimes have a hard time just deciding the design for a freebie cake I take to work, but it's usually something I need practice on.
