Default Cutting foamboard???

I need to cut 1/2" foamboard to make a cakeboard. has anybody cut one of these??? What is the best tool to use to cut? Thanks!

sharp exacto knife. if you are cutting a circle, use a curved exacto blade in the knife.

Thanks! I didn't know they made curved exacto knives either! This will be an oval cakeboard - I think it qualifies!

I use a hot knife. It cuts through foamcore as if it were butter. Picked it up at Micheals.

No, it's actually an electric tool with an X-Acto blade that heats up to 1300 degrees F. Seriously. It's called a Creative Versa-Tool, and it's at Michaels. You can pick it up for 15 bucks this week if you grab a 50% off coupon from tomorrow's newspaper. It makes cutting foamcore super-easy and super-fast.

Cutting the foamborad was a nightmare...........ended up covering the cakeboard with fondant......think I'm done with oval cakes
