Talking stress free cake supports.

has anyone ever used the stress free cake supports? They seem a little expensive so I am wondering how they stack up against other cheaper stacking and support options? I have been using the cake jacks lately and they are wonderful.

I wonder if intotheoven will carry the stress free supports? It would be great to buy some here and try them out to see if you like them or are what you might need!
HINT, HINT GUYS!!!!

Those look really neat. Great idea, but I'm not spending $130. for one set! I suppose if I did a couple wedding cakes every week it would be worth it, but I'm not that big. I'll stick with the $5. wooden dowels.

yeah I agree. But I like to see what's out there. And being that I have a goal of my shop front and bakery I may look into getting some...and there is always ebay too. You'd be amazed at the great deals I get on there from people who are closing up bakeries or supply stores.

I think the stress free supports are yet another overpriced, over hyped toy.

I've never had a cake collapse on me and unless it's higher than 3 tiers, I transport with the cakes stacked and ready to go...and that's driving over the 3 miles of curvy, bumpy gravel and dirt roads that I have to go over to get out of my little corner of the world.

I use wooden dowels only. If you bake a sturdy cake, use the proper number of dowels and don't overfill the layers, there shouldn't be a problem. If you don't, no support system in the world will hold it.
