Do you buy?

Do you buy the wilton year books? Do do collect them?
Do you get the pattern books too?

I like getting the yearbooks, I do not ever get the pattern books though. Those yearbooks are about the only thing that Wilton makes that I like

I collect them, but I collect all cake books and baking books too. But I do love the year books for ideas and checking out older techniques too.

I've bought both the yearbooks and pattern books. They are simple and easy to follow.

I also like the older wilton celebrate books with the ideas for wedding cakes...it's cool to see what intricate designs used to want regularly on their traditional cakes back then.

I like to look though them and I'll buy one if it's on sale or clearance, but I don't usually buy them. I used to, though. I used to get old ones from ebay. I just don't have enough room for all my stuff! It's nice to have a few on hand for people who don't know what design they want. But mostly I google image search.

I like to look at the older techniques and try to learn the older piping ...it just seems to be a dying art...the piping experience part.
