The welding helmet died. I made a sheet cake, layered &filled, cut it in 1/4s & stacked 3 of them which was too high. I carved & carved, took it apart, put it back together, got the 1/4 sheet I had saved for Jimmy, replaced the bottom portion, carved it pretty nice, figured I'd give it a try, put the fondant on and forget about it. It was too heavy for the cake & was like a butter cookie dough cracking. The Satin Ice was not working well. The fondant was too happy so I took it off, put the cake on a plate, wrapped it and went to bed. I wasn't happy with the cake itself, some parts were too dry. I tried!!! Sheesh! A lot of work for nothing! It was supposed to be for a 17yr old. I'm debating if I'm making another...

A lot of wasted cake, fondant, cake boards. I wound up making this one today. I was surprised I got it done.
