Sorry I just saw your message... In the English part of Canada they celebrate Thanksgiving pretty much like in the US, but in Quebec it's just a normal day, except that there's a lot of businesses closed, and kids don't go to school.
Hi Jazz, Thank you for the picture comment. This was my first baby shower cake and so far this one is my favorite. Unfortunately, the pictures do no justice, they look so much prettier in person.
Thank you! So far no ruts per se, but sometimes I have no idea what to do for some of the things people want. I have a baseball cake to make for next weekend....I have no idea what I'm going to do yet.
Thank you! ^_^ Incidentally, I am totally in love with your Spongebob cakes. As far as I'm concerned, THAT yummy stuff is the bee's knees, right there. No contest. Great work~!
My neighbor got the duck from the Des Moines Feed. Someone brought the duck in after a cat got hold of it. She had to wait for the duck to get it's feathers before she could let it loose. She took it to a pond with lots of other ducks. It was sad when the wild ducks came and talked to the baby duck.
They are always having classes on sale. There are slow periods & they offer them to drum up biz. You get coupons towards the next classes too. They vary in prices in different areas. I've heard they are over $50 at some stores. I paid $25 or $30 for my 1st class at AC Moore, then $25 or $20 & the last class was $10. Look for groups in your area. I found one & Kimmy from Kimmy's Kakes is doing a demo tomorrow for free on carving dog cakes.
I still don't understand this site all the time. I know the more you post, the more casino cash you get. Go play the lottery for a chance to win a $250 gift cert for here. That would be great hugh? I'm off to bed!
I am so sorry, I didn't even know I could get messages until just now...... just shows how new I am to this whole thing I guess!! Thanks for the kind words, I need to get into some classes, you are correct. They have a sale on Wilton starter classes at my local Michael's, but I missed the first one... DRAT!
Thank you Jazz for your nice comments. And I just realized I forgot to upload a certain pic - Nicholas Lodge's hibiscus from the class I took. That's the flower he taught us. I'll post it when I upload it. He made it look SO easy!
