Default International shipping, so high? =(

I was wondering if anyone lives outside the US and finds the shipping fee here too much? It's about $97 for 3 lbs (if i understood it) and USPS has relatively lower rates. for Priority International Mail Package the flat rate fee for the small box is $37 and for the large box it's $49.95. And i think it can be up to 20 pounds maximum for each.

what does ITO use to ship? did i misunderstand the rates? (i hope I did)

thanks!

I put in the Philippines for shipping country and what the charges would be for 10 lbs and this is what it showed. UPS (1 pkg x 12 lbs total) (UPS Worldwide Express) $225.79
UPS (1 pkg x 12 lbs total) (UPS Worldwide Expedited) $206.29
UPS (1 pkg x 12 lbs total) (UPS Saver) $219.61
You could write to the administrator and they would be able to tell you the correct shipping rates. I thought rates where high USA rates, guess I won't complain.

i don't know if that works for you but the flat rate box is up to 20 lbs i think. I used the same shipping option with global sugar arts. paid $37 and got my stuff in 10 days

ITO uses UPS (United Parcel Service) not USPS (United States Postal Service) that is why there is such a HUGE difference in the rates. Maybe you could contact them and see if you can get them to ship USPS for you. I don't know if they will, but it's worth a try! Otherwise, maybe you can have it shipped to someone in the US first, then they could ship it to you USPS. Even that would still be cheaper than UPS.
