Take Your Kid To Work Day!

i gave my 11 year old son the choice of going to school or going to work with his dad or me. he chose me. my husband's office is having a lot of clients in to their offices today for a long boring technical class.

so, i'm a stay at home mom with a busy in-home baking business. i told him before he decided what needed to be done today and he said fine.

so, after my daughter is off to school, he is going to help me bake 1 cake and clean up the mess. after that, my dental appointment and the nursery to get flowers for the yard, we will come back home to back more cakes! while the cakes are baking, he'll help me with laundry and the general pick-up and cleaning i do each day. later this afternoon, we'll start making icing and covering cake boards.

i'm really looking forward to baking with him!

aawwwweeeee, how cute is that! I wish my oldest had this day thing...but she wouldn't want to go to work with her dad, he's a commercial/residential painter so fumes alone would kill her off quick...well run her off at least.

my 8 year old daughter is jealous but i told her that we could do it next year. her class is finishing up a project and she needs to be there. also, next year i want my son to go with his dad and my daughter can stay with me....she loves to bake and decorate!!

That's fun! I remember I went to work with my mom when I was younger! It was fun! My mom works in the corporate office for Office Depot and they did a tour for all the kids and had lunch and took a picture of us with our parents. It was a fun day! Hope you have fun with your sun!

he just made a chocolate cake and a marble cake. he enjoys it but i told him he could take a break while they bake.
