I suck too! once I got lucky and made a straigth flush but then I lost it all back...

Best tip I have...

Keep the low pairs, getting 4 of a kind keeps you alive in video poker. If you play long enough during a session of play you will eventually get 4 of a kind. Betting $10 will win you $350 I think on it. I sort of have this thing that if I start playing, I won't quit until I hit 4 of a kind...I've been known to lose a ton doing that, but more often than not I'll hit it and come out ahead.

Unless you have a winning hand, 3 or 4 to a royal or 4 to a flush of any kind, keep those piddly little low pairs..it pays off in the long run!

All that said, you have to have a big enough bankroll to last long enough to hit...so start out with smaller bets, quit while you're ahead and as your bankroll builds, start betting larger bets.

Not that I play a lot of video poker or anything.......

That's how I've been playing it, but unfortunately, I've only managed to hit the 4 of a kind once!! Ever since then, it's just taking my money!!
