So I made a green butter cream two tierd cake last night for my best friends brothers 18th birthday. The butter cream set REALLLLLLLLYYYYYY

fast and it started to pull from the cake i tried heating up my comb and spatula with NO success. Finally I was able to get it to look half way decent and it just looked like i tried to make a stucco affect

...WEll the cake is for today and i just went home from work for lunch and the *&^#(*@ butter cream is CRACKING

!!!!!!!! Why is it doing this? Is there anything i can do to make it look better?!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
