I have my KA!!!!

I FINALLY got a KA!!! I't s 5 qt professional HD series - is that the same as the Artesian?? I just purchased the model that Costco has in stock - they had a $40 discount so I took the plunge! Gonna make mty first batch of buttercream tomorrow! YEAH!!

I think the Professional series is different from Artisan's - does yours have a bowl lift? Or does the head tilt back? My ancient Professional KA is a bowl lift, my new Artisan's have the head tilt.

What color is it? Are you going to name it?

It's got the bowl lift - I was looking at the KA website....didn't realize how GOOD this model is - has a 475 watt motor! Hehe!!!! Can't wait to take it for spin! I'd be doing it now (10:30 p.m.) but I'm afraid it'll be too loud & wake the kides! ( AND a grumpy hubby!)

i used to have a ka...still do. i use a delonghi now for big batches. however, i keep my ka close by as an extra mixer. it is now 10 years old and still humming! you are going to love your ka!!!

I have a 5qt artisan which i love, never thought about naming it...but am thinking "Big Red" will be fitting! Anyone else name theirs? I can't wait to hear about it!

OMG, I name EVERYTHING! I have Peter Primrose, Lil Kim the mini lilac bush, poncho (the outdoor fireplace), chuck the truck, and cassandra the cuisinart (mixer). I'm such a nerd...

I don't name everything, but certain things. My old KA is Bessie, my new-to-me Explorer is The Big Rig, I have 20 different nicknames for my dogs (Buster is Mr. Dancey-Pants, Holly alternates between Sugar Butt and Skunk Butt; they're also the Babies, Sugary Sugar Muffins, Boo-dawg, HollyBug or just Boo and Bug for short). Luckily my roses already have names or I'm sure I'd be naming them!

I did name my Garmin Streetpilot "Carmen Garmin." I love her because I can change her accent to pretty much any nationality. It's so cool.
