Event in Winnie Tx.....
Is anyone going to the event in Winnie, Tx. tomorrow? I'm really excited! I'm a novice at cake decorating. Cake decorating start as a hobby for me, little did I know that I would become addicted to it!! Anyhow, this will be my very first event of this kind to attend and I'm like the little kid in the Disney commercial...."I'm sooo excited!!!" I'm just afraid of losing all my money there!!!

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
Paula,
I am sorry I didn't get to meet you today! I had worked for 20+ hours straight on a cake that I delivered Saturday evening, then I came home and crashed and didn't check back on this website to get your name (duh, I couldn't remember your screen name either - I swear, I have swiss cheese for brains!!).
Did you have a great time today?? I learned so much. I was in the "ladybugs" group. The demos were awesome!! And so was the raffle (heehee!).

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
My daughter and I had a blast!!! Did you win anything? My daughter was getting really disappointed that we were not winning anything and then we won one of the cross shaped pans, that made her happy!! We really wanted the book that had the Warner Bros. characters on the cover, along with everything else, the ladies from Pearland got it! Would you happen to know where or how I could get a copy of that book? Unfortuantely I don't even know the name of the book! I'm sure you didn't notice me, but my daughter was the one with taking pictures of just about everything!

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
that may be the debbie brown book that has the characters which ones were they, tom&jerry maybe?
Or the one with snoopy on the cover? Both are debbie brown's google her and she has a site with her books and you can even look into them to see if they are what you thought they were.

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
Thanks!!! On the cover I believe it had Tweety and Taz. I remember my daughter saying "I really wanted that book because it has Taz. Again thanks for the information, I will google Debbie Brown.

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
Hi Paula ~
I noticed your daughter! She was wearing pink and purple, if I remember correctly. I was thinking, "Wow, she's patient, being here all day!" LOL
I won two nifty things ~ a set from the Cake Craft Shoppe containing a butterfly cutter and a poppy petal veiner, and....THE KITCHENAID!! That was a trip!
Today I spent the day with 8 terrific people from yesterday learning GP flowers from Jennifer Dontz. Tomorrow is another (LONG) day doing more. I'm enjoying the class, but it's kinda funny that she is teaching Nicholas Lodge's techniques and I've already taken classes from Nick. It's still been fun. We're making gardenias, hydrangeas, hibiscus, and dendrobium orchids.
Anyhoo, I'm so glad you made it to the event. Hope to see you in Arlington in 2 weeks!

Re: Event in Winnie Tx.....
I am so ridiculous, I charged my camera battery and stuck the camera in my purse, where it stayed all day!
I did get some pics yesterday at our GP flowers class. I'll upload them later after work. We made hydrangeas, hibiscus, a cymbidium orchid, gardenias, bittersweet berries and hypericum berries & leaves. It was pretty fun! We also taught the instructor, Jennifer Dontz, how to Cotton-Eyed Joe. Now THAT was hilarious, and I'm sure it's gonna be on Youtube soon. Heehee
