Survived The Weekend!!!

Well... the weekend is over... my home was full of love and laughter for a couple of days and it is very quiet now. My 4 children and their significant others threw me a fantastic 50th birthday party... even though I am NOT officially 50 yet! We had a wonderful time my sisters were both here as well as my hubby's brother & his wife & mother. The kids brought the grand dogs with them so it was chaos and craziness! Just how I love it!!!

The kids chipped in together and bought me a 24' Cricut machine to work on my scrapbooking with. I am really excited about it. I think it is going to be fun to work with. I played with it this morning and it is super easy to use... however it only comes with one cartridge and they are expensive. So I will have to be selective on which ones I buy. This was a super nice gift... way more than I expected! Also... our youngest daughter and her boyfriend gave me a birthday card... I was opening them and reading them outloud to everyone... They were announcing their engagement to us!!! So now we have our oldest son's wedding in September just in a few weeks... our oldest daughter is having our first grandchild in February... and now another wedding to plan for next July! Her wedding will be 150 miles away from here... she already booked the location! It will be a super busy and wonderful year! What better way to turn 50 than to have all the most wonderful things in the world happening to your family!!! Must say... I am blessed!

Oh.... I did not bake my own cake! We did cheesecake and my girls lit 50 candles on top of it. Looked like a rocket was taking off! But... I blew them out in one blow!!!

Jeri Happy Early Birthday. Family is a wonderful thing. Sounds like you have been blessed with a great family. What a great way to start a new year with a Grand Baby. I just learned that I am going to be a Grand Aunt in March of next year. This will be the first baby that we have had in our family in a long time. I am so excited to get started making diapers and baby clothes.

Yes I am doing both the cakes. And a baby shower cake in between!!! This will be a busy year... hope I make it through!!!

My kids just keep surprising me! I told our youngest son to wait awhile before he pops anything on me... I don't think I can do one more wedding this year!!! Life is good!
