my accessories are here!!!

My accessories for my house are finally here! As soon as I get them all up I will post pictures of my projects around here for the past couple of weeks. I took some pics of my new floors etc but everything was too plain without the bling! The room will have the look of an old farmhouse kitchen when I get the accessories up. I am excited. LOVE my new laminate floor. It is soooo nice. Glad the old berber carpet is gone forever! The only bad thing is that it is a dark wood... vintage chestnut the planks are 7" wide. It is really dusty here where we live and so I am always sweeping and dust mopping. Oh well... beats dragging out the vaccuum like I used to! I will get the pics posted this week. Can't wait to share it with you all!!!

I know what you mean about the dusting, Jeri! Our steps and wood floors upstairs are in terrible condition. Absolutely unsalvagable (sp?)! We can't afford to replace them all, so last year I decided to paint them a nice warm dark brown. I love the look, but UGGGG! The dust!

I went in to school today to work for a few hours and was not supposed to start until Thursday full time back to work... Ended up working the full day today and our principal said he got an e-mail from the district office that said we are supposed to be back full time as of today... so I am back to work! I was going to clean house and take pics today. I am cleaning house tonight so I will get what I can posted soon. I wanted to have all my accessories up before I get the pics taken!!!

I had wooden floors installed in the kitchen and two bedrooms back in 2003 when we had Nelson our Great Dane and it was soooo funny to watch him run and slide all over the place. We have two cats so wood floors are easier to keep clean and so much better for allergies.

I don't have all my accessories up yet but here are the floors! I needed to clean tonight because I have to start baking tomorrow night for the wedding this weekend so I wanted to have it all done. Decided that I won't be getting everything done till after the weekend so here are the pictures of the kitchen, dining room & where my eliptical is right under the deer & antelope... I feel like I am being chased!!! and my office area. My next purchase will be a computer armoire so I can have it all hidden. This desk is too big!!!
Now you can all see how tiny my kitchen is!

One more... the little dish cabinet was made by my father when I was a little girl. My tea set is on it with a crocheted doily that was made by my grandma. My father died when I was 9 so it is nice to have this to remember him by. I have to have all these extra cabinets to hold things since my kitchen is so small!!! The second pic you can actually see how small my kitchen is...
