Great News!!!

I got to bed at 2 last night... or should I say this morning.. or yesterday morning since it is after midnight now... I slept till 8 then got up and went full speed to get everything done before the kids got here. We had decided to forget the weiner wrap party for tonight because I am worn out! When our daughter and her husband got to town they wanted to go to Chineese food for dinner. So we jumped in the truck and headed to town. We had a great dinner and when the fortune cookies arrived she handed mine to me and my husbands to him... I broke it open and had forgotten my glasses.. (blind as a bat!) I said I think this might be upside down and handed it to my hubby and asked him to read my fortune... He started to read...
"Hugs to comfort, kisses to plant, love to give, grandma to be in February!"
I looked at her and said are you telling me that you are pregnant? They both started laughing and said YES!!! I am going to be a GRANDMA!!!!!! WOW!
So... when they left at 7 for the friday night part of her reunion, our son's girlfriend and I got busy and baked a small 3 tier cake from start to finish in 3 hours! Needless to say... it is not real pretty... but the thought was fun! We baked a 7,6,3" rounds... Single layers and frosted it in buttercream didn't get it real smooth because they came in in the middle of frosting it... we added the fondant decorations that we made while it was baking and surprised them with a congrats cake! They laughed so hard when they saw it... definately NOT one of my better creations but it was fun. I told her I'd do her shower cake and take a tad bit more time on that! She will have 2 showers... one here and one where she lives so I may end up with 2 cakes to do! That will be fun!!!
Anyway... is a picture of the cake and I will post the pics of our floors later.

Thanks all! This has been a really great weekend. Our boys were both here with their better halves along with our pregnant daughter and her hubby. It was a great day of family time. We had ribs, baked beans, watermelon, salad, rolls, and of course... CAKE! After dinner we got to visit and we did some wedding planning... our oldest son is getting married a little over a month away. This is going to be an eventful year for us! I am ready for bed. They have their dogs with them so I am waiting for my kittys to come back in tonight and go to bed. They love sleeping on the floor in our bedroom but with the dogs here, they seem to disappear!
