Default Well didn't make my treasure cake

I went out and bought a square pan and everything I needed to make this cake for her but when I told her that it was going to cost more because of all the fondant that I had to use she decided she would bake it herself, I did give her the pirate though and she said she liked it. :( Oh well maybe next time. I was so nervous about it anyway. I have decided to just make cakes just for practice. I was kind of relieved because I was asked at the last minute. But fustrated also because I spent money I didn't want to .

what a bummer... I hate this when you are asked to make a cake but they want it almost for free... I've lost a couple of orders because of the price. But when you want a custom design cake you should expect to pay a little more, no?

Well hopefully, you'll be able to get use of your square pan.

Did she pay for the pirate? Was it a fondant/gumpaste figure?
