Default Here it is: my new cake room! :)

Well it's not a big room, it's only 8'X11'. but it's ok for me to work in for now.
All the shelves (except the ones in the pantry ) were bought in June from my friend that was closing her pet store. I've cleaned them very well, don't worry. I've got a big shelf unit that holds my new cooling grids! I just love them! no more invading the entire kitchen with cakes to cool, or big cookie sheets when I'm making cookies (like the 500 I've made for the nurses...)
I've made three cakes in two days now in this room, and let me tell ya that it saves a lot of time and energy! When I need to stop to make dinner, I don't have to take all my "toys" away, and then put them back after dinner.... I can leave them where they are
And I have this little computer, it's an old one like you can see, and it sits on my file cabinet, that's just temporary.. when I can afford a laptop that's what I'll have but for now, I can access my emails and this forum, so that's cool!
I love my cake room! thanks to my dh!
here are the pics I've promised!

oooooh, aaaaaah. I see a full size fridge in there. I am jealous!!! My co worker gave me a countertop high one which actually works out great & is a big help. We store water in it during the week. I only have the countertop in "my studio" and stuff is piled on it and everything else. My husband offered to put wall cabinets in because he hates clutter but I hate to do that in a former bedroom but I really should!!! It would be nice to get my pans out without a hassle. Congratulations! Enjoy!

Thanks everyone! I really love it!And yes it's a full length fridge! It's my old fridge. We bought a new one just before the holidays, and kept this one for my cakes, and other cake stuff. But dh keep his beer in there too.. and at Christmas we were the ones to hold the Christmas dinner for my dh side of the family, so it became really handy to have 2 fridges!

Great room. I would love having room to put my cake items. I have to keep them in the spare bedroom in plastic bins. Pans are in the basement. Would be nice to have all that work surface. Would be nice having two refrigerators. We have a side by side and there is no room for anything. I have to find room in the deep freeze for cakes. We will be expecting great things from that room.

Nice! You are lucky to have your own space! Since our kids are not at home anymore I can keep working though dinner because when it is dinner time on cake day... it is who is going to town for take out??? Or who is firing up the BBQ???

I have a room... it just doubles as a guest bedroom! We don't use it very often for guests so most of the time it is all my stuff.. It used to be my daughter's bedroom. I cleaned everything out last winter and made it MY room! I painted it a sunny yellow... put extra shelves in the top if the closet and had another shelf that I put in the bottom of the closet. All my supplies are in that room. The closet is full... I left a little corner for guests to hang their clothing when they visit... I have a shelf that is floor to ceiling with cake stuff and... I bought this really cool organizer at Costco that snaps & locks together. It is 3 tiers and all snaps together and has 3 or 4 small containers that have tiny compartments that I store all my small cutters in. I have fold up tables so when we have guests, the tables are folded up and we have a day bed in there. It works for me... I just hate carting everything from that room to the kitchen and dining room every time I want to work. I have my sewing machines & fabric in that room too so I guess you could say it is my craft room... But I guess it's better than nothing! In our son's old room... I took over that closet with my scrapbooking stuff... and I don't scrapbook that much. Need to though. I have tons of ideas!

nice, very nice Pootchi
But now it will be a temptation to buy something else since you have extra shelves where to store it...
