spent all afternoon at the hospital

Right after lunch, my 12 y-o dd went with a friend, on their bikes, to the video club to return the movie they had rent yesterday. oh around 20 minutes after they were gone, they returned, my dd was crying and her friend was a little panicky (is this a word?) My dd fell off her bike, she flipped over her bike from the front and landed on her arms. A man that lived close where it happened drove the girls to my house, and even the bikes. He offered to return the movie, my dd said yes (I called at the video club and it was in fact returned), I never saw the man he didn'T came in the house at all...
Anyway, I went to the hospital with her because I was certain her left arm was broken.. well it is! Since we're in a small town, we have to go back on Monday to have her arm put in a cast. She has temporary cast for now.... The doc prescribed some pain killers, so now she's really quiet and watching a movie....

I remember breaking an arm when I was aorund 12, it was not fun and hrt so much that I passed out.

So sorry your daughter got hurt!!! Glad she's on her way to getting better now. ....But also glad to know that not all men are creeps--I think I would have been super freaked out if some random man drove my daughter home!! I'm glad he did though; he must have been able to tell she was really hurt! I think I'd try to track him down and send him a thank you note or something.

I hope your daughter heals quickly! (And you try and calm down too, if you're anything like me. I think I'd be distraught if one of my boys had broken something!)

I should give him a thank you note, maybe with some cookies! My dd asked if she could call me but he didn't have a phone. My dd thinks he was moving in, so he's new to the neighborhood too.

Wow, I don't know what's scarier - the broken arm or her getting into a stranger's car. Thank God she is okay!!

I think it may be time to get her a cell phone.

I am really glad everything is okay now, it's scary to think what could happen, but nice to know sometimes people can be really kind. Even in light of the events, this story was pretty heart warming

I thought the same thing too, thank God he was watching over them both.
And thankfully all she got was a broken arm too!
Maybe a cupcake "make ya feel better" is in order here?!
