Here, we are in an area that's not know for eathrquakes (maybe one every century or so...) So in the 80s when I was still living at my parents, I was crafting in my room, when it began to shake. At first I thought a big truck was passing by, but when my glue bottle fell off my dresser, I got up and went into the kitchen. My parents had company over and my mom was getting mad because she thought someone was shaking their leg under the table (and she absolutely hates that).... We were all looking at each other with puzzled faces

My dad had the idea to open the tv and guess what? it was an earthquake! it was around 300 miles away from my house, so we only shook a little. There was a lot of damages in the earthquake area though!
I'm so glad that I don't live near an earthquake area! I would go crazy

I still remember the feeling, for a few years after that incident, when I felt some shaking from a truck passing by, I immediately was thinking: earthquake! Now it's ok....
