Default All the clothes in the pool!!!!

This is really not cake related!!!!!
I was putting my laundry on the clothes-line for them to dry, we only have a few days of sun, so I take each of them to save on electricity bill! Well the d*** clothes-line broke! and all the clothes I had put on it (it was almost full) ended up in the pool.
Dh helped me take it all out, and back to the washing machine it went... just to get an extra spin.... So for today, my laundry will be drying in the dryer! Dh works evening shift, so he was preparing to leave when it happened, so he said that first thing tomorrow he'll buy a new one!
So that's what happened to me today!

It's a bad thing, but still a little funny. I wish I could have seen my face when I heard the "plunk" of the clothes-line..... My big dog wasn't happy... he was wishing for the clothes to fall near him so he could play with them.... We put him there, because before he was closer of the clothes-line and was actually able to grab clothes and roll them in the mud.... yuck!
Well i'll have a brand new clothes-line! that's the positive side...

This is one of those things that when it happened it probably seemed awful, but I guarantee you will look back in a week and laugh (all while loving your new clothesline!)

Because it really is totally HILARIOUS--and totally something that I'd expect to happen to ME one day!!! ...Sorry you had to redo your laundry though...I genuinely HATE doing laundry.

I'm sorry that happened. I'm sure it was really frustrating, but I'll bet it was a real gas for your neighbors to watch!!

Well, at least you got to go swimming after them! Nothing like a nice swim huh?!
So far, I have only had to do the mad dash to grab the clothes off of the line before a sudden thunderstorm. Last week, they were almost dry when I heard thunder. My kids thought that I was crazy for running outside like a lunatic with the basket!

That's a funny image in my mind, seeing you running like crazy!!!

The sad part in my story here, is that I love the smell of my sheets when they dry outdoors. It was my next laundry load after the one that fell into the pool, so I had to dry them in the dryer, won't have the same smell but maybe it's better for me since I've started some allergies since this spring... Nothing happens for nothing!

I Love the sheets when they have been hanging out on the line! I use my line all of the time. I try not to use the dryer at all in the summer to cut back on the electric bill since we also run the a/c. My husband is currently taking allergy shots, and we have two of the trees that he is the most allergic to in our yard. I figure we are helping to build his resistance? I asked him if he wanted me to just dry them in the dryer, but he said no, because he loves the way they smell and feel!

I had things on the line all day today. LOVE the fresh smell! My hubby insists that we can dry things outside year round...and we do not live in the sunny south! We are in Oregon! He will take a load of towels out in the freezing cold and bring them back in frozen! I call it his freeze-dried towels! Needless to say... when he is through they have to "finish up" in the dryer!

I do not hang things out in the winter. No frozen fingers for me!!!!!!!! we heat the house with a wood stove with a blower on it in the winter with the gas heat as a back-up only. So, with what we save on the gas bill, I use the dryer. However, if it can be hung up on the hanger to dry, then it does! In our old house, the wood stove was in the basement and I hung lines up in the basement. The only stuff down there was storage, washer and dryer, stove, and the freezer so no one saw the clothes hanging up. They dried really fast and only had a slightly smoky smell.
