Default My house flooded while on vacation!!!

So I have been away from here a LONG time! My family headed back to Iowa for vacation for 3 weeks to see our families...and take part in some nasty weather, including tornadoes and terrible flooding, both of which, fortunately, we were not effected by directly.

My brother got married, we baptized my baby, and had a super fun family reunion with my husband's family.

Well, upon returning home, we walked into our FLOODED HOUSE! We had a pipe bust in our main level bathroom, (which gushed for more than 4 days) and it flooded the entire main floor....so, we had to rip out all our wood flooring we had just put in a year ago, camp out in our upstairs bedroom for 3 days while we had a company bring in fans and dehumidifiers in (count them 30+ fans and 4 giant dehumidifiers) and dry out our house. UGH! But, this weekend my husband had a 4 day weekend and we replaced all the flooring....whew!

Anywho. I got started in this advertising company where I am able to advertise my websites, and get this, earn back 125% of what I put in! CRAZY HUH!? And sounds too good to be true, i know, but I have been doing it for only a week and a half and have already made nearly $200. I would love to tell you how if anyone is interested, so PM me, or shoot me an email. I'll answer any questions you may have! I know a lot of us here are stay at home mommies, so I just wanted to share this info with you fabulous people!!!

I look at other people's websites (surf the internet) for 3 minutes a day, and earn money doing it! Can it be any easier!!??!!??

Or check out my blog for the link on the right side...

Ok, anyways, I am trying to get my house back together, but wanted to check in to ITO to see what all I have missed since I've been gone. I haven't been doing much baking either, so I'm going through withdrawals! AGH!!!

Sorry so long!

Welcome home! I'm so sorry to hear about your broken pipe. I hear that happening all of the time since I work in an insurance agency. A word of caution for everyone. Have someone check in on your house everyday while you're away. If it had happened right after you left, you can imagine how much worse it would have been and the insurance companies have put limitations on policies for mold because the cost of removal could be more than your home is insured for.

WE did have a friend checking on the house, but of course it happened right after she last checked it and then we came home a few days later. my neighbors wondered why our yard was so wet, and why theirs was extra moist..ugh, gee thanks! oh well. we made out pretty well, and i'm starting to get thigns back in order!

I always try to find the positive in everything. Sometimes it seems like there is no positive but there always is! Maybe I need my pipes to break... hmmmmm!!!! No... that'd be too big of a mess to clean up.
