Well come on down Pootchi! We'll bake a giant cake & try every technique they show on it. I bust my cake decorator instructor friend that when she gets married I am going to do her cake & use everything she ever taught me on the cake. She grimaced at that. It would be more fun watching it with someone who decorates although my mother does enjoy it too.

I just checked the listings and it's not what I consider the usual marathon. Starting at 9pm, I think they have about 2 hrs., then another show, then about 2 hrs. That's it!!

Did anyone catch that they premiered a new episode of Ace of Cakes on 6/29 at 11PM EST? I didn't even know that they were going to do a new episode. I have my DVR set to record all new episodes and all of a sudden, I saw that there was a new episode. I don't know if they advertised it or if it was just a stealth premiere.
I don't know why they put it on so late. It's usually on 10:30 & all good bakers should be in bed by then to get up at 2 to "make the donuts" but then cake decorators I guess stay up to the wee hours... My friends and family think I'm nuts staying up til 4AM yesterday. They are planning an intervention. I told them just let me know when so I can bake a cake.
