CakeBaker - could you revise?
Those are Sugarshack's recipes. I don't know why there is a difference. I just copied and pasted them from cc. Hopefully she can jump in and explain it.

I've always used the quantities I came up with on my first batch because I like the way it turned out. I don't use as much vanilla as she does wedding bouquet and I increase the amount of liquid creamer mix to make up for it.

For some reason, the direct video links don't work (yours does just as mine does, says it's not available), but if you click on the title both will take you to the actual site and video.

Y'all..... I was trying to back out of that last post, because I could see it wasn't going to let me post just the link. Sorry..... I didn't think it would work either :(

Can anyone tell me how I would adapt this recipe to make it a chocolate buttercream?

Bupbup.......I asked Sharon this question for you and here's what she said:

Changes:
1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening
Vanilla extract only
Cocoa

Sorry she didn't elaborate on measurements.

I thought that was the recipe she used in her video?

If I'm not mistaken, the video is for the 5 qt. I don't have a recipe for the 4.5 qt, but it's pretty simple to figure out the measurements. Just take the 5 qt recipe, divide each ingredient by 5, then multiply that by 4.5.

The recipe should be something like this:

Sweetex: 4.5 cups
Powered Sugar: 4.5 pounds
A generous 3 1/2 T flavoring
10-11 TBS hot coffee creamer liquid

I'm no math wizard so you might want to double check my figures!

Well, I finally made my first batch of sugarshack's buttercream. I made a chocolate version. It turned out great. I haven't iced the cake yet, but the texture seems spot on so far. I thought since cakebaker shared a picture of hers, I would share a picture of mine - so here ya go.
