Question Question About Chefmaster Airbrush Paints

hey all! jut bought my 1st airbrush and got the chefmaster paints from In2theOven. I've been spraying paint at everything that's not nailed down... and some things that are

Here's my question...
Do I need to dilute the chefmaster paints? If so, how much?

Air brush colors are ready to be used as they are. Have fun!

Aren't they fun?

I learned the hard way about not spraying in the open though. I couldn't wait to use it in my bakeshop kitchen so I played with it in my house kitchen. My house is laid out so that the kitchen, dining and main living area are all open to each other.

By the time I got done playing, I had a nice film of food coloring coating everything including my prized baby grand piano. It has an black epoxy finish that shines like glass....unless it's coated with a film of red airbrush color!!!!

the hardest part for me is to not color with it, swipe wide and evenly from before the cake till you pass it to ensure better even coverage. This is my biggest fault.

If you're just adding areas of color and not trying to airbrush an exact likeness of something or someone, it's easy, easy! It's also really easy to airbrush flowers and gumpaste decorations before addint them to the cake.

2sdae is right...the key is to start spraying before you hit the object or cake and to keep spraying as you go past it and several light coats rather than trying to get that deep red all in one pass! Otherwise, you'll end up with globs of drippy food coloring...not pretty at all!
