Default 16 inch Round...

Would you fill a 16x2 inch round half full???? Should I put two rose nails in it???? I ws thinking 3 cake mixes is that what you use???

That would take 15 cups of batter -I generally estimate 5 cups of batter per cake mix - so it SHOULD work...and I fill 1/2 to 2/3 full.

That answer was not clear - yes, I think 3 cake mixes would work. I have not used the rose nail in a 16" - but I think you only need one..........anyone?

If it is a 2" pan, then 15 cups of batter. That would be about 3 mixes with nothing else added. According to my chart a 3" pan holds 18 cups. I would definitely space some flower nails in there and use bake even strips on the pans if you have them. HTH!

Sorry, I was posting at the same time I guess! I would use more than one nail myself. It would not hurt, and it might help. I would rather use them than have an unevenly baked cake in the middle. That happens too often with me because I forget the dumb nail..
