Nervous!

I am amking a cake for the Squadron Kids Christmas party. So far my main idea is a big cake (for the adults) in the shape of a cup of hot cocoa with snowmen around the "cup" and lil cupcakes (for the kids) with fondant snowmen on them. I found a pic somewhere of the cup that gave me the idea.

My husband is a Navy pilot and I am so nervous about this cake... ahhhh.

My daughter wants a stacked present cake to take to her new bf's family Christmas party. No pressure mom she says, I just want something that'll knock their socks off.

That would explain my red and green satin ice purchases this weekend.

Ok... So here it is. I ended up doing a different idea. The pic on the left is his Squadron patch that they wear on their flightsuits. It went over really well! I had people asking me for business cards...lol.

Wondering if I should make some up? Seems weird to me, I just do this for fun.

By the way... thanks for the Satin Ice I purchased from here. It tasted sooo good and everyone who had eaten fondant before commented on the taste of it. I was amazed at how easy it was to work with!

I'd definitely get some cards made up. After all, just because you have fun doing something doesn't mean you can't make money too!

It's always a great feeling to do something you love, it's so hard to believe sometimes that you get paid for your passion.

P.S. Keep an eye out for a posting a little later today, it has to do with the lottery, just to give you guys a hint.....

We purposely kept the lottery to only $25 gift certificate low, since it was a new system put in. Since it looked like it went off without a hitch, we plan on raising the dollar amount on the gift certificate!
