40th birthday cake ideas???

I had to make one for someone with no interests, no hobbies & I made this. I got the idea from Cake Central & that person actually had a better saying on her's. I think it was like "Let's give her some support". I used craft scissors for the trim on the cups & a clay gun for the bra fasteners. 'Scuse the icing - it was a new one I tried & didn't like the taste or texture. Although even if it was good, I'd do a lousy job.

I think it is adorable and love the saying! I was trying to figure out if the bra was made out of fondant or not? is it?

Thank you. Yes, I made it out of fondant a day ahead & cut them with one of those semi-circle rulers that I got in a back to school kit. I had real small pudding cups that were rounded & greased, then dust it & layed them on there to dry. I brushed it with the shiney Wilton dust mixed with vodka. Made a pattern out of parchment paper for the sides. Used the little Wilton wheelie tool for the stitching (can never remember what that thing is called). You can add straps too but I didn't have my clay gun at the time. The birthday girl thought it was hysterical.

I really like the bra idea, but I wouldn't make the bra cups quite so perky...make them sag a little!

I saw a over the hill "bra" in Spencer's once that had cups that looked like cone shaped socks. The cups just hung down. It totally cracked me up.

Oh! You're cruel!!! That's why you get a good "supporting" bra! My husband refers to the mold cups as bullet proof.
