Cupcake wrappers?

Would you use them? My daughter graduates in June and I am trying to design her cake, I was thinking of using a cupcake stand and making cupcakes about 48 and putting them into the cupcake liners and for the top of the stand making a round cake with graduation hat? figure? not sure, but would you spend the money on the liners? They will cost 12.00 for 12 liners (unless someone knows of a cheaper place) so it would be $48.00 total not including shipping. I am wanting to make it look good so I can take a picture of it and put it in my portfolio, I am pretty much just starting to take pictures of my cakes, so I really don't have many. But would love to start getting orders. need ideas on her cake about 50 people will be here.

I like to use the silver liners. I buy them at michaels for like $2 or $3 and there are 24 in the pack...

I am looking into using the lace liners...sorry should have describe them clearer... here is a picture of the ones I am thinking of using.

They are absolutely beautiful! Rather expensive though. Wish I knew where to get them cheaper. Hopefully someone can help.

Thanks 2sdae, I really like the way they look, but they are way expensive, Hmmm thinking of another way to make the cupcakes POP! Looking on websites as I type..LOL
