Another idea is (in addition to the party) to make up little variety packs of cupcakes and distribute to local businesses with your card. Who doesn't love goodies at work? Maybe you could even decorate them to cater to the type of business you are delivering them to?!?!

I'm all about door prizes! Gift certificates are great! That will motivate them to place an order! Maybe even have some goodies packaged to sell on the spot too if you want?
I will definitely consider the raffle thingy. A beautiful cupcake bouquet would be a wonderful prize too. now i need to practice how to make those cute roses for the bouquet. when i try it i use 1M tip but it doesn't seem "full" enough, the petals seem too... thin.
any suggestions on what flavors to make? i figured i could make 5 different flavors and mix and match with frosting and then decorate them according to theme so each theme will have different cake-frosting combo.

i haven't tried marbled yet but that would be nice.
i have chocolate, vanilla, carrot and red velvet so far. and am really determined to make buttercream. last night i had a dream i was making smbc seriously. LOL
