Hi I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Renee I have ALWAYS loved to bake. Grew up baking with my mom amd my grandmother. But in 2003 my 10 yr old daughter was diagnosed with stage 2 Malignant Melanoma and we had no health ins. So I decided to bake cakes and cookies for extra money to pay for the medical bills. And here I am almost 5 years later and still baking. And more importantly my daughter is almost in her 5 year remission!!!!! Thanks

I "blame" my baking/cake addiction on my grandmother, and she doesn't mind one bit.

Very glad to hear your daughter is doing well.

You will love this site - the casino games are very addictive, the people are great, and that's just the forum! The store is highly addictive too (especially when Mt. Baker is being generous and gives out discounts/gift certificates, which happens pretty frequently!) He's one smart cookie though, knowing that those discounts/gift certificates only persuades us to buy more More MORE!

Yea I am alrerady ADDICTED!!! I wish my grandmother was here to see what I am doing with what she taught me growing up. She was ALWAYS my 2nd mother!! I am looking forward to being on this site ALOT!!!

I have always loved to cook and bake. Am a newbie when it comes to decorating cakes. Not sure what I do would be called decorating. Not yet that is.
