Default Need help in deciding which brand of pans to purchase

I am wanting to purchase some new pans, but having a hard time deciding which brand to buy. What is the difference in the Magic Line cake pans and the Fat Daddio's pans? Any help would be appreciated

I am anxious to see the reponse here as well, as most of my pans came from Freecycle. That, plus a few Wilton pans.

I have some magic line and some fat daddio's. I like them both. Some people have said the square corners on the fat daddios arent as crisp as magic line, I havent used them and all my squares are magic line.
I really like my fat daddios round pans and they work just as well as my round magic line. I am looking into purchasing some of their triangle and comma pans. I do not care for wilton performance pans. But I make an exception when using their heart and octagon pans as well as the blossom/flower shaped pans. I have had these since I started decorating and they do fine for me. So I guess it's kinda a to each his own. I have to consider price when ordering as I havent opened my bakery as of yet so I dont have tons of cash laying around to just spend and not enough business yet to constitute buying them for future use.

It's true that the Fat Daddio's square cake pans aren't as "crisp" as the Magic Lines. If you want a perfect square, the Magic lines are better. Not to say the Fat Daddio's aren't nice, but they use a process that the pans are made in one piece. This means the bottom of the pan has a slight round in the corners, whereas the Magic Lines are several pieces that are put together through a welding like method, making their corners are squared from the top to the bottom.

I'll try and post detailed pictures sometime in the near future for viewing.

We just added the shaped Fat Daddio pans, which are EXCELLENT quality and expect them to sell very well. Their quality is much better than Wilton and they offer many more shapes!
