did you use any non stick spray or pan grease to help release? Were the cakes cool enough to come out.
If you leave them too long they'll stick though.
I always use pan grease and parchment paper lining my pans, especially big pans.

pan release and parchment. also turning out of the pan after 10 min cooling on a rack, no longer. I wish I could help you....I hate it when things like that happen. It is so frustrating.

I did use spray release. I thought I waited long enough but maybe not since I was in a hurry. I am just going to add the cream cheese frosting and make cake pops. Thanks for the help.

I put my cake scraps from leveling or from a sunk cake in the freezer. I just used the majority this weekend to make cake balls for my husband to take to work. He said that they were yummy. If I did not get them out of the house, then I would eat them, not good.......

i spray with non-stick spray and then line the bottom with wax paper. comes out perfect every time. i can either let it cool for 30 minutes and take the cake out or i can let it cool completely. i run a knife around the edges to loosen and turn it upside down. i carefully peel off the wax paper. makes cleaning the pan easier too!
