Default Does anyone color their own sugar crystals???

I was wondering if anyone else colors their own sugar crystals....If yes what do you use? Liquid or gel????

I have not tried it yet. My Cookie Craft book says put the desired amount of sugar in a zip-lock bag, add food color (drop or 2) seal and massage into the sugar. Use gel or liquid. You can also color coconut this way. Use household sugar or sanding sugar.

It would just blend the food coloring and what ever colors you blend is what it would make the sugar look like.....blue+red=purple. That kinda thing.

I buy mine in bulk and use it to dye colors for whatever season or need I have...or to just play sometimes!

It's what I do....teaches my pre-schoolers colors too! They like to take the white sugar, as they call it, and make it colors!<<<inside the zip locks they stay pretty clean too!
