Dusts
I've used pearl dusts to do a small bit of painting on fondant, but past that, I'm virtually ignorant about dusts. Any help would be appreciated. . . .
I need to paint a large area on a fondant cake (almost the whole tier) in several shades each of rose and sage, but I don't want the finish to be shiny or pearl. Are there edible dusts that produce a flat finish, that would be suitable for that type of project?
Thanks!

Re: Dusts
Great -- thanks!
Have you guys painted with petal dusts before? Do they produce a fairly dense color, or are they translucent?

Update:
I emailed "Into The Oven", gave some info about my project, and asked for a product recommendation. I was told that Crystal Colors are the way to go. They're FDA approved, the colors are very intense, and they have a matte finish. Sounds like just what I need!

That's good to know. I was watching a wedding cake show this weekend & the one lady painted her whole cake. I was wondering if they were safe to eat.

Re: Dusts
Those crystal colors are very pretty and coverage is great with them. I bought some for my fair entries.
