Default In case of emergency...

Unfortunately, Tuesday & I had cake disasters yesterday. She got tackled by her 2 & 3 year olds & my carved cake just crumbled under the weight. I need to take a cake carving course!!! It was my fault, I should have put it back in the fridge.

Anyway, I was just wondering if you could you could post any ideas you find on making a "cake" out of something store bought. Maybe with donuts, a pound cake or something. I'm sitting here with a loaf pound cake & could use an idea quick!!! Thanks for all your input!

You could buy donut holes (or candies) and buttercream them to a styrofoam form. Other than that...I got nothin'! Good luck!

I'm not trying it anytime soon. He was happy with the taste of the cakes & his rib eye. My nephew that stopped by said "Aunt Jasmine, you cake tastes better than it looks" although I'm not sure that's a compliment since the cake was a wreck. hmmm. No, it was tasty.
