OK, I've searched for the tutorial that I know is out there somewhere to no avail.

So, here's hoping this makes sense....
You need:
A foam block for forming
A ball fondant tool
A knife
A Wilton blossom (5 or 6 petal) or PME 5 petal cutter
Glue (or water)
1. Make small teardrop shapes for the center, allow to dry 24 hours.
2. You will need 3 petal cut outs for each flower. If you use the wilton blossom cutters, you will need to make a small cut between the petals to free them a bit. You also need to soften the edges of each petal. Use your ball tool to roll over the very edge of each petal and it will make it kind of thin and wavy.
For clarity purposes I'll name each petal (for the 5 cutter) head, L. arm, R. arm, L. leg, R. leg. Following me???? Looks like this...uh, kinda...

3. For the 1st layer, put your cutter on the foam and use your ball tool to make an indentation on each petal. Center your teardrop on top of the petals with the indentations cupping toward the center. Now starting with the head (and you will always go in this order) wrap it around the center. It will slightly overlap. If it completely overlaps, your center is too little. If it doesn't even touch, your center is too big. Now after the head petal is wrapped, next you go R. arm, L. foot, L. arm, R. foot.
you can choose to let this layer dry or not. I've found that it's a bit easier to do if you let each step dry before moving on.
4. Layer 2: Take another blossom with each petal freed and softened, and put it on the foam block. This time indent every other petal, then turn it over and indent the opposite petals. So you'll have 3 cupped in and 2 cupped out. OK???
5. Again, align the flower in the center of your petals, but place the 2nd layer petals so that they are off set from the first layer petals. Starting with the head (cupped in toward the center) then R. arm (cupped out), L. foot (cupped in), L. arm (out) then R. foot (in). At this point you should have a very pretty small flower. Manipulate the petals so that there are no blank spots and the out cupped ones are pointing out.
6. Last one! Hooray! Place your blossom, petals freed and softened on the foam and indent all of the petals one way. Then flip it over so that they are all cupping out. Center your flower on the petals, offset them from the previous layer, start with the head and do as before. Manipulate the petals so that your rose is even and you are DONE!!
Oh shoot...slap a calyx on the bottom!
That's it! Did you follow all that? I know it's hard to just read about it. Sorry...
One thing I did forget is to put a little dab of glue at the bottom of the flower before you add each layer. Just enough to stick the petals at the bottom only. If you try to stick the petals all the way up they won't fan out.
I hope that helps. Maybe someone will be able to post a tutorial for you to make it easier to understand.
Good luck!!
Ughhh!!! My 0 flower didn't follow the shape I made once I posted!! Let me know if you don't know what I mean.
