Question Flavoring Icing? with Lorann oils?

I have purchased several different flavors of Lorann oils, are these oils mainly used to flavoring candies or can you use them in icings and if so will they taste okay??? Has anyone used them...Please help. I purchased the small drams to sample, but am not sure how much I am to use, also can you flavor fondant???

This past Christmas I made Peppermint Butter Cream Cheese frosting with Lorann's oil. It was great. Be sure and only use a small amount. (It is much stronger than my extracts.) Have fun experimenting.

My neighbors really enjoyed the Peppermint. I had used the frosting on Chocolate Fudge cakes. Some college kids that ate some called it "crazy good".

I purchased the sour flavor, especially for the kids, Im going to try it and see if I can make their little lips pucker and I am definitely going to take pictures of the expressions on thier faces .....I never thought of using peppermint and your idea sounds really yummy, I love peppermint, and will be purchasing the peppermint.

Did you use a regular butter-creme or chocolate buttercreme?

It was regular Butter Cream Cheese frosting. (Vanilla) I have never tried it in chocolate frosting, but I don't know why we couldn't.

The sour flavor sounds like a lot of fun. You will have to let us know how it turns out, and what the kids did. They may beg for it in the future.

I haven't tried it but I've heard several people using the oils to flavor their icing. Just make sure you don't use a whole lot as a little oil goes a long way.
