I have read quite a few posts on various message boards where decorators say with disdain, "I don't do sheet cakes!"

Those are really nice cakes!!!

The wedding cakes are the ones that bring more money into a business, but the regular birthday cakes are the ones that are a constant thing any day, all year around. They are usually sheet cakes, and good for a large variety of occasions. They can be fun to decorate too.

That's a really neat site! I loved looking at all the designs.
I like doing fancy sheet cakes! It gives me a larger canvas to work on.

Great site! I really enjoy doing sheetcakes. I am getting better on the corners, so they are not the pain that they used to be. I too also find that they are a great canvas to work on and are so easy for the host to slice. Sometimes a tiered cake can be rather daunting to cut! Most people in this area use sheetcakes for parties and such. I am always confused when I hear that someone does not "do" sheetcakes. I mean it is a cake, so why not? You can make anything as creative as you want it to be!

Melissa, of course I don't mind! The Little accents are plastic decorations that you can find at your local supplier. The dress, just a drawing on the cake, and built up afterwords with frosting to give dimension. Add her monogram to personalize it... and it's done!
