? High Ratio shortening
I remember seeing on one of the threads that the store would be getting it sometime soon. I tried looking for the thread but couldnt seem to find it. I was wondering if there was any update to when you might be getting any?

I just spoke with our representative yesterday, we are trying to decide between two different brands, we should make a decision by the end of this week and should have the product in stock by the end of next week, or the beginning of the following.
Thanks for following up and keeping our feet to the fire.

Re: ? High Ratio shortening
Ok fellow bakers! It has been ordered. It ships Monday, so we should have it posted by Thursday or Friday at the latest.
We will be carrying two kinds, Alpine and Sweetex, both will do absolute wonders for your cake

Re: ? High Ratio shortening
Our first order will be of the 50# size, so I hope you ladies are baking some cakes.
We are looking into carrying the smaller 3# sizes too, but this is usually something you bulk up on in the winter to get you through the summer (due to heat and shipping).
It keeps well, and plus it's not too bad in price when you consider how long it will last. We do not have final pricing yet, but it should be somewhere in the upper 40'ish range for the Alpine. The Sweetex will be more expensive.
More to follow....

COOL BEANS....I have been wanting to try both of those. But I will have to wait till you guys get it in smaller bunches...50lb. block is a lot to try a brand.
So keep us posted!

Re: ? High Ratio shortening
50lbs is what I was hoping you'd sell. I know it's a lot, but it keeps well and buying it in bulk is much cheaper, especially when you consider shipping.
My mom called me this morning and asked me what she should get me for Christmas. I'm not sure she believed me when I told her I wanted shortening.

It's good to stock up on in the Winter months.
You can tell your mom, there are gift certificates available in the Store. They are also electronic, so you don't have to wait for them to be delivered in the mail. .gif)
