Default Sugarcraft Gun Klay Press?

Does anyone have this or something like it?

Been thinking of investing in it. I am HORRIBLE at rolling fondant symmetrical and even.

Does it really make life easier? There are a whole bunch of disks that you can get with it too.

I'm just like you, I hated trying to hand make things instead of having a clay gun. I don't have that one though. I got the Makins clay gun at Hobby Lobby. It's very easy to use and I think it's considerably less expensive than the one you're looking at, especially if you use one of their 40%-50% off coupons. I think it cost me somewhere around $10 with a coupon.

Here's a pic just because I'm really impressed that I've learned to post them :

Yours would be even easier to use because of the trigger action, just depends on how much you would use it I think. For the amount I need it for, this one is great.

Oooh I miss Hobby Lobby. We had 2 near us in TX but when we moved to FL all we have is Michaels and there is a Joannes I think. I get all my supplies I need right away at Micheals.

Have to check that one out. Thanks!

Michael's has them too and sometimes they have the good coupons, just have to get them out of the paper rather than online like Hobby Lobby does them. This gun is easy to use, it has the little bar at the top that you just turn to extrude rather than trying to push it with a plunger style.

I shop the clay and scrapbooking sections as much as I do the cake section at the craft stores.

I live near Tulsa and while we may be the home of one of the biggest cake shows in the country, we don't have a single cake decorating supply store in town other than Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Ugh....

Hobby Lobby also has online coupons. If you sign up for their emails you get the 40% off coupon to print...and you can print it more than once! The only condition is that you can only use one coupon per day. Also, around the holidays they start sending coupons about twice a week.
Here we don't have Michael's, but we do Ben Franklin and Joanne Fabrics. Although, the way this site is growing, I may not have to go to Hobby Lobby much more...

I got an extruder at AC Moores. It doesnt look like either one of those, it is not very big either, it is a sculpey, I dont recommend it because it about kills a person's hand where you have to push out the fondant. I would like to find one that is better then the one I have.

I have had the green one and now I have the sugar craft one and it is much easier on the hands and for me does a better rope with out so much pressure and a more continual rope instead of the start stopping I got with my green one.
JMHO though!

I think next time I am at Michaels I am going to look. Last time we were in there I had the 2 banshees with me so I was lucky enough to get my cookie cutters and that was all...lol.

Thanks for posting this! I never even thought about using a clay gun for fondant!
