Default Brand of chocolate?

What is your favourite brand of chocolate to use for making candies? Where do you get it?

Thanks,

Jodi

I like ghiradelli chocolates and or belguim chocolates. I get them in blocks from my local cake supply store. I like to to be able to use real chocolate tempered with my candies if I can find it.
Are there any good places on line to buy bulk chocolate or blocks at least? Seems like shipping would be high as it would be heavy!

I may be the minority, but I uses the Wilton light chocolate wafers and have gotten good responses from them. (I know alot of people don't like Wilton, but I stock up when the tent sale goes on)
I only use the chocolate ones, none of the other colors where you would have to use the flavoring.

I have thought of trying them but always heard they were waxy tasting. Guess I'll have to try the lighter cocoa ones.

I use the Ghiradelli chocolates. I get 2.5 lb blocks at Sam's Club! It's only $6.50! I love it and everyone I've made chocolates for absolutely love them too! I even use it as a filling in some of my cakes. I just put a thick layer of the melted choc. on and then lay the next layer on and put it in the fridge for about 5 minutes and it's hard and ready to go!
anyway, Ghiradelli is my favorite!

I buy this from Sam's too! It is yummy! I looked for it at Christmas and couldn't find it. Then found it last week. I guess I looked in the wrong place or they moved it.

I've seen them in Sam's but never thought to try them. Guess I'll do that one of these days.
