If you want to write in chocolate, you can use fudge frosting. It has the perfect consistency for it, and it gets dry, so it doesn't smear when you pack it.

I let it cool down a bit.

I read a tip somewhere about seized chocolate - (accidentally getting liquid in it, making it thicken) you can use that to pipe with.

I remember seeing Alton Brown do something like this on Good Eats. I think he melted the chocolate chips with some shortening and then transfered it to a squeeze bottle. Also make sure you go backwards as your finishing writing a word so that you don't drizzle chocolate where it isn't suppose to go.
