Default wrap a cake in chocolate

I have always wanted to learn how to make the attached cake, which i found online, it was in one of the martha stewart wedding magazines. I cant remember who made it.
What kind of chocoalte do you use to get the striped effect? Am i using a modeling chocolate and playing/rolling it like fondant and then covering the cake?

Thanks,
Barbara

This is what I was talking about in my long-winded post in the thread entitled "Chocolate Transfers". LOL

You use transfer sheets to do this, I explain a little in my post in the other thread. basically, you melt some chocolate, spread it over the sheet, wrap it around the cake and then chill the cake until the chocolate sets. Then you peel the sheet off and the design/chocolate sticks to the cake. You can buy them at many online stores (haven't checked this one for them yet) and they come in so many designs - a lot of fun and easy decor.

You can use any type of chocolate, even candy melts. I usually use the melts.

There's a post by ShirleyW on Cakecentral (I think in the cake decorating forum) where she explains her method using just regular chocolate and sheets of mylar (plastic).

Here is a site that shows how to put the transfer on the cake.
