Exclamation 3-d molded chocolate help!!

I just made a chocolate mold of a high-heel shoe..placed it in the freezer, 2 hours later i took the mold off but my shoe did not stick together...What did I do wrong and how can I fix it?? ....When i poured the chocolate in the molds, it was a bit too runny to immediately put together so I let it sit out for about 30 minutes to slightly harden. Do you glue them together or do I have to make another one. Please help!

I don't do much chocolate but I remember my friend telling me when I was making 3D chess pieces to put a plate in the microwave for 10 SECONDS or so and put a chocolate on the plate & it melts it a little & then press it together. You may have to put each one on the plate. Maybe try that before you make another. I hope that helps.

Let me know how it turns out. At least you can eat it if it doesn't come out good. Good Luck!!

Wink Re: 3-d molded chocolate help!!

Well the chocolate shoe was too heavy to place on top of the cake, in fact the two halves did not hold together.....but i went with making a purse instead. I know what I did wrong and will know what to do on my next project involving a chocolate shoe...All the kids enjoyed eating the chocolate, so none has gone to waste. Thanks again for your help.

I will be posting new pictures of my projects on Sunday.

High heels and purses? Sounds like you're decorating something seriously cute and funky. The shoe was a really fabulous idea; I'm sorry it didn't work out on the first try. (There's always next time!)
