Default Coloring Merckens

Can I use my Americolor gel colors, or do I need to buy something special to color them?
Thanks!

Flo Coat is mixed with regular icing color (like Americolor) to color chocolate; its great if you need a color that you cant get in the colors for chocolate!

Powders work as well. Anything that is liquid may seize the chocolate. (except Flo-coat)

Awww, man!!! I can't find anything to color my chocolate with! I didn't see any flo coat or powders here at ITO, and Hobby Lobby only has one set of really ugly powdered colors. I hate to order just flo coat from somewhere else. I'd pay more in shipping that I would for the product! Shoot!

You know, I looked at those but it didn't say in the description that they are "chocolate friendly". I'm just not well versed enough to know if they would or not. This is my first attempt at chocolate transfer. I suppose I probably should have gotten them anyway, but hind sight is 20/20, right?

Typically, any powders are OK for chocolate, liquid is what you want to be concerned about.
