"Egg-stravaganza"
Come join the entire ISAC staff for this special Springtime Open House. Come out, bring a friend and enjoy the day with us! Our Open House is FREE to everyone and no registration is required. Demonstrations will take place throughout the day as outlined below.
10:30 AM
Nicholas Lodge "Panoramic Sugar Eggs"
The only thing more fun than receiving one of these delightful sugar eggs...is making them yourself! Nicholas will show you just how easy it is to do and will then finish the eggs with both hand-piped and ready-made sugar decorations. This is a fun craft that your kids can make. Both the sugar eggs and memories will last for years!
11:45 AM
Scott Ewing
"Chocolate Easter & Spring Novelties"
Those of you who have attended the ISAC Holiday Open House will remember Scott as the resident "Chocolate Man." Today in Scott's first demonstration he will show simple, easy-to-make chocolate goodies for your family, friends and Easter Baskets. Included will be Chocolate 3-D Hollow Bunnies, Large Speckled Eggs, Crunches and more!
1:00 PM
Nancy Short
"How to Temper Real Chocolate"
Many of our students and customers have asked for a demonstration on how to temper real chocolate, and here it is! And we have a great lady to show you how to do it! Watch and listen as Nancy shows you just how easy it really is to melt and temper your own chocolate. Nancy will then use the tempered chocolate in several different chocolate molds.
2:15 PM
Nicholas Lodge
"Spring Decorating Ideas for Cakes, Cookies, Cupcakes & Petit Fours"
You already know that Nicholas is the master with gumpaste and rolled fondant and he has lots of ideas to share with you on how to decorate your Spring cakes, cookies and more! Don't forget to bring a note pad! You don't want to forget any of these great ideas!
3:00 PM
Scott Ewing
"Making Your Own Marshmallows, Candies & Confections"
Homemade marshmallow tastes so much better than the "fluff" you can purchase at the store. Surprisingly, marshmallow is easy to make and doesn't require cooking. Scott will demonstrate just how easy it is and then show you how to create your own Easter Eggs, Spring Chicks, Bunnies and then coat them in sparkling colored sugar or dip them in chocolate. Other Spring confections will be demonstrated too, as time permits!
4:45 PM
Nancy Short
"Packaging & Presentation"
We have saved some of the best for the last! The final demonstration of the day will feature Nancy once again, this time showing a variety of creative ways to package and present your Spring creations using gift and candy boxes. ISAC has a great selection of Spring Gift & Candy Boxes and they will be on sale during our Spring Open House.
