Default Milk Chocolate

Has Any boy here ever melted down milk chocolate for dipping.
I was planning on making some cookies from the Cookie Press that I got over the weekend and I was thinking on dipping them in Chocolate. I have Milk Chocolate Like 5 pounds that I won. and was wondering if this would work and if so what is the best method for melting milk chocolate.

I have done it. I used a double boiler and then dipped them right in and on to wax paper to dry.

If you add just a touch of shortening to the chocolate when you melt it, it will get a nice shine for dipping. If you use a double boiler to melt it, make sure the water is at just a simmer so none of the water vapor gets to the chocolate. It will seize and be unusable if it gets any moisture in it. You can also use your microwave to melt it. Just chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt on high for about 1 minute, stir, then continue at 10 second intervals until it's only slightly lumpy. Take out of micro and stir until completely melted. Don't be tempted to micro until fully melted as that may cause it to burn. The heat from the melted chocolate will melt the remaining chocolate then and it is ready for use. HTH! -Rezzy

I love to melt chocolate and find all kinds of snacks for all the kids to dip it in, I can always find ways for them to at least try healthy snacks by doing this they then say wow i didnt realize these tasted so good, so now they always ask, when are going to melt some more chocolate for us to dip our snacks in??
