I guess I live in a part of the country where people just dont go up to each other and start conversations in the store. I might would have done this when I lived in Georgia, but I wouldn't dream of doing that up here haha. I've told a few people in my family about the forums, but none really cared too much about joining up since they don't do cakes.
It is definately a specialized forum. I am sure that they are trying to encourage new customers and I definately recommend them to everyone. If you are not a cake decorating junkie... this is not the place for you. I wouldn't have a problem recruiting people... there just are not too many people in this area who are into my insane addiction!!!
Ya know, I'm just weird enough that it makes me a little nervous to think that people I know are reading what I post in this forum - I tell you guys stuff that I wouldn't think to admit to non-cakers.
I'm wondering if it's new stuff that they came back from ICES with, and maybe a little price break at that? That would be so cool!
I couldn't get anybody I know to sign up even if I paid them! The people I know, learning a foreign language would sound far easier than learning to bake.
