This is my first attempt at cupcakes. I had a blast making them. I know they aren't elegant or fancy...but I enjoyed every bit of it!

They are too cute. I love the sea theme. Could have used that for VBS. Where did you find the cupcake liners? I like the look of them.

Oh so cute, adorable for any kids party. The sand is so "realistic" looking..Question on the fish eyes. did you buy them premade? or did them yourself? they look too perfect for me too even attempt something like that.

I really enjoyed making these. I've never done cuppies before, and they were just for a friend so I didn't have any "perfection pressure".

For the liners, I rocked the nut cups!!

I don't have any muffin tins and this was a whole lot cheaper than buying 4 new pans! There were 20 white, 20 chocolate and 20 chocolate peanut butter marble. I just photographed one of each topper, but really I made about 5 or 6 of each thing.
The eyes I made and they are easy peasy!! You could totally do it!! Roll out some white and black fondant very thin. Use a tip 3 (or 4 or 2 depending on how much room you have) to cut out 2 white and 2 black little circles. Put the white on first and kind of press it into an oval shape. Then put your black on but be careful not to press too hard because it needs to be smaller than the white. Taa daa! Eyes!

I think they were 3 1/4 oz. I just bought the biggest they had, and I got them at Hy-Vee.

Amanda those are super cute, I love the mermaid..the tail just makes me giggle.
I get my nut cups from anywhere that sells party supplies or wedding supplies too. They usually keep them for favors and mints.
